KORN has confirmed several European festival appearances during the summer, including Germany's Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, and U.K.'s Download. KORN has been on hiatus since completing the touring cycle for its untitled eighth studio album, which came out in July 2007. Singer Jonathan Davis told The Pulse of Radio that he's spent his time off working on his first solo album and hanging out with his kids. "I mean, this is the longest I've ever been home since KORN started," he said. "I've never had this much time off in my life so I've been spending a lot of time with my family and then trying to do the record."
Jonathan Davis has been working on his solo debut for several months now, although he has not announced a title or release date.
KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu has been writing a memoir, while guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer has started a side project called FEAR AND THE NERVOUS SYSTEM and a record label.
KORN plans to enter the studio sometime this year and begin recording a new album with producer Ross Robinson.
